The 2021 Tournament Season will be virtual-based:
REGIONAL TOURNAMENT:
ALL TEAMS are invited to participate in an OPTIONAL Regional Tournament:
- Tournament Fee is included in the $75 Affiliate Fee (paid to DI HQ when you purchase a team number)
- Teams will receive feedback, scores, and top-placing teams will receive medals
- Instant Challenges will be emailed to Team Managers on Friday, Feb. 5
- Instant Challenge Solution Videos need to be uploaded by Monday, Feb. 8
- Central Challenge Solution Videos need to be uploaded by Monday, Feb. 15
- Improv Teams will receive their "Improv Unknowns" on Friday, Feb. 12
Teams will be placed into a Region after registration has completed. New "virtual regions" will be created and named after Michigan Symbols (Painted Turtle Region, Cherry Blossom Region, White Pine Region, etc.)
STATE TOURNAMENT:
ALL TEAMS are invited to participate in a COMPETITIVE State Tournament:
- Tournament Fee is $50 per team (paid at time of registration)
- Teams will receive feedback, scores, and top-placing teams will receive medals and qualify to represent Michigan at Global Finals 2021
- Instant Challenges will be emailed to Team Managers on Friday, March 5
- Instant Challenge Solution Videos need to be uploaded by Monday, March 8
- Central Challenge Solution Videos need to be uploaded by Monday, March 15
- Improv Teams will receive their "Improv Unknowns" on Friday, March 12
Awards Ceremony:
- Saturday, March 27 @ 7:00pm
- Virtual Video Presentation, sent to all teams / supporters
- Top-Placing Teams will be mailed medals
- All scores will be emailed to team managers
REGISTRATION:
Registration info will be emailed to all teams / coordinators. Registration for the Regional Tournament and State Tournament will be made available in early December.
Registration Deadlines:
- Regional Tournament Registration Deadline: UPDATED: Feb. 1st @ 11:59pm
- State Tournament Registration Deadline: March 1st @ 11:59pm
